Job Purpose
Supervising the media department and continuously working on its development.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Proposing the media strategic plan and the necessary means to achieve it to the organization's management.
- Managing the media department in Syria and overseeing daily tasks within Syria.
- Preparing a separate media plan for each project and following up on its implementation.
- Supervising the activities of the media department staff in Turkey and providing support to overcome work-related obstacles.
- Overseeing the management of the organization's social media platforms.
- Communicating with various internal and external entities, individuals, and organizations to manage the process of exchange and cooperation regarding the organization's media affairs.
- Monitoring team productivity and optimizing available resources through continuous measurement and development processes.
- Ensuring implementation in accordance with the organization's approved media policy, monitoring deviations, and correcting them.
- Participating in project-related meetings at all stages with the donor.
- Developing the performance of the media office.
- Any other tasks assigned by the Financial Manager within his jurisdiction.
Academic Qualifications, Requirements, and Skills
- University degree – preferably in media.
- At least 4 years of experience in media within the humanitarian field.
- Experience in the humanitarian context of Syria.
- Ability to conduct media coverage.
- Ability to publish and write editorially.
- Extensive knowledge of social media platforms and prominent Arab and international news agencies.
- Knowledge of modern media strategies.
- Good command of English in reading, writing, and speaking.
- Proficiency in using Office software and programs related to the department's work.
- Creativity.
- Ability to work under pressure and take responsibility.
- Organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage a team.
