Bonyan is an independent non-profit organization established in 2004 in Aleppo, Syria, and officially licensed in Turkey in 2014. Our response program focuses on three main areas: Education, Protection, and Livelihoods.

Job Purpose

Integrating gender, equality, and inclusion principles into all project activities, ensuring the participation of marginalized groups, and providing technical support to promote a gender-sensitive working environment and practices.  

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Integrating gender analysis and the principles of equality and inclusion into all stages of project design, implementation, and monitoring.
  2. Ensuring the representation and participation of marginalized groups in project activities.
  3. Following up on the implementation of gender-sensitive policies and procedures in collaboration with the project team and partners.
  4. Providing technical support and awareness trainings on gender, equality, and inclusion to team members and stakeholders.
  5. Developing tools to monitor and track gender, equality, and inclusion indicators within the project.
  6. Preparing periodic reports highlighting progress and challenges related to GESI and submitting them to the project management.
  7. Promoting a non-discriminatory and gender-equal working environment.

Academic Qualifications, Requirements, and Skills

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Media, Gender Studies, Development, or any related discipline.

Skills and Requirements:

  • 2–3 years of experience in gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) within development or humanitarian projects.
  • Good knowledge of tools and methodologies for gender analysis and gender mainstreaming in projects.
  • Experience in reporting, monitoring, data collection, and analysis according to GESI indicators.
