Job Purpose
Integrating gender, equality, and inclusion principles into all project activities, ensuring the participation of marginalized groups, and providing technical support to promote a gender-sensitive working environment and practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Integrating gender analysis and the principles of equality and inclusion into all stages of project design, implementation, and monitoring.
- Ensuring the representation and participation of marginalized groups in project activities.
- Following up on the implementation of gender-sensitive policies and procedures in collaboration with the project team and partners.
- Providing technical support and awareness trainings on gender, equality, and inclusion to team members and stakeholders.
- Developing tools to monitor and track gender, equality, and inclusion indicators within the project.
- Preparing periodic reports highlighting progress and challenges related to GESI and submitting them to the project management.
- Promoting a non-discriminatory and gender-equal working environment.
Academic Qualifications, Requirements, and Skills
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Media, Gender Studies, Development, or any related discipline.
Skills and Requirements:
- 2–3 years of experience in gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) within development or humanitarian projects.
- Good knowledge of tools and methodologies for gender analysis and gender mainstreaming in projects.
- Experience in reporting, monitoring, data collection, and analysis according to GESI indicators.
